API for video querying

Anything you want added or changed in future versions of ZoneMinder? Post here and there's a chance it will get in! Search to make sure it hasn't already been requested.

Bump. I'm developing a software that needs to query video data from a specific ZoneMinder monitor, preferably in a RESTful manner. Is there anyway I could do this without waiting for the next release ? The source code is public, but I don't even know where to begin with.

Sorry if I'm posting in the wrong section, but I really don't know where it fits.
