Searching for LGA1155 motherboard compatible with DVR card

Post by ppiszc »

Hi,

I'm searching for LGA1155 motherboard that is compatible with Kodicom 8800 clone card or card based on 8pieces of SAA7134 chips.
Any suggestion is welcome.
From my side I can add that Gigabyte GA-P67A-D3-B3 motherboard is completely not compatible with cards based on 8 pieces of bt878 or SAA7134 chips.

Why is it not compatible? A quick google search shows that this is a standard 5v PCI card, and the motherboard you listed has two 5v PCI slots. Please give some more detail on why you think this card and that motherboard are not compatible.

After plug dvr card (based on 8xSAA7134 or 8xbt878) the Gigabyte GA-P67A-D3-B3 motherboard does not start (it works for 2 or 3 seconds and after this the motherboard turns off the power supply) - I do not see even the POST from BIOS.
Please note that both dvr cards works fine on old Asus A7V motherboard and both dvr card works fine without any extra drivers for the linux!
The PCI slots on Gigabyte motherboard I've checked using below PCI cards:
2 network cards (intel and realtek chips), sound blaster live soundcard, highpoint HPT 366 IDE controler, some Firewire card, conexant TV card. All cards works fine so I assume that PCI is not fully compatible with PCI standard.
