Video stops working, more like freeze frame after 1hour

Post by NetDog »

Have an odd issue video works for up to 1 hour, no errors in the logs that I can see. The source shows green, when I click on the name it looks to have a freezed frame. If I restart ZoneMinder it shows a green screen. If I reboot the server everything is good for about an hour.

DVR Card Camsecure 5008 PCIe card
ZoneMinder v1.25.0

Syslog server is clean

Events from zoneminder logs show that it is processing and capturing but it isnt really doing it.

Try heatsinks. You have the classic symptoms.

first, try update your kernel to 3.0 version ...

I had the same problem. After updating the kernel the problem did not reappear.

So the upgrade didnt help, but I am seeing an odd error.. Going to do a little google search on this one. But this seems to be my true issue it seems to be looping.

OK updated the Kernel and still having issues:

chris@Sec01:~$ uname -a
Linux Sec01 3.0.0-16-generic-pae #29-Ubuntu SMP Tue Feb 14 13:56:31 UTC 2012 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux

bb99 Are you saying heatsinks on the board? You think this is an heat issue?

Thanks for the help by the way.. I am wishing I used IP Camera's..

I removed the case and put a fan on it. I am also checking heat via SNMP, so I am thinking this is not the issue.

I am really thinking it is card related issue but a little lost as to what to look at next.
