Conexant Fusion 878A chip - 4 Inputs - Only 1 workinging

I have been messing around with ZoneMinder for sometime trying to get it to work. Currently I am running Ubuntu 10.04 with a 4 Port Conexant Fusion 878A chip card. I can view video only on channel 0, while 1-3 show a blue screen but displays fps. I know at one point on a different Ubuntu OS that all 4 channels were functioning so I'm sure it has something to do with the upgrade.

I have the card type as 77 in bttv.conf and no modprobe.conf file.

I cannot find any manufacturer or model (ebay $30 special from China). There are dip switches on this card and I haven't seen them on any other posts. Moving them around appears to have no impact on the video though.

I found a post where someone else solved the same problem but I cannot follow what it means if someone with more linux experience can help me out.

Well, looking to the first picture, the switches are in a position that in not in the list of configurations of the serigraphy, could it be the problem?

I have switched them around several times in hopes of seeing a change. They are currently set back to match the first configuration shown on the card. I didn't ever see a change in the response from ~$ lspci or ~$ dmesg. Not sure if they are for the analogue inputs or the Digital I/O header above them.

Just as a reminder: all cameras on a chip must have exactly the same source settings. Symptoms of this problem are exactly the same as you're experiencing.

I just deleted all the monitors and re-added them in hopes that there was a setting that I had out of sync but I still get the same result. I can imagine the blue screen in ZM but I would think it wouldn't happen in Xawtv as I don't think I can set things differently between channels.

I am a newbie so limited help but have actually set one of these 878a chips up. i had the same problem with only one image on all inputs.

i found if it did this in xawtv, then the problem was with the conf file, not in zm.

After much searching i found that almost everywhere on the net said to use card type 77 it just wouldnt work for my card and as such scoured around to find one that did work. i can see from your picture you dont have an identical card to me because you have a sound input? However, mine was an old geovision type card and mine worked perfectly with:

options bttv gbuffers=16 card=157 tuner=4 radio=0 triton1=0 vsfx=0 autoload=0
alias char-major-81 bttv

in my options.conf file the card being 157. This may or may not be your problem but worthwhile having a look.

Also bough a card identical to this and used card type 131 which worked a treat

I have since purchased an identical card and my conf file is as below. i changed the card number to 131 and removed the "autoload=0" although not sure what the latter does. However, it now works fine on all channels
