Techwell TW6805A Deteriorating Video Quality Multiple Cams

Post by chad9090 »

Hi,

I have zoneminder install using Ubuntu "apt-get install zoneminder"
but am seeing the Monitors get mixed up and use the same input.

I built the tw68 driver using the gitorious code.

I followed the instructions on this recent thread
"Same image on both bttv-channels" for a differnet driver.

That stopped the shared video issue but now I see video
quality deteriorating.

Wondering if anyone can provide any direction on this?

Here is a 3 camera montage view.

When I have one monitor the single video is clear and good.

When I have two monitors the 1st is OK the 2nd is dark.

When I have three monitors the 1st is black and white
the second is very dark and the 3rd is just about pitch black.

Any advice much appreciated.

Are there any tw68 specific config tweaks/changes I need to do?

Thank you.

Hi ..

I am not sure but I just toggled the settings and ended up using just as I posted
then also plugged and unplugged some cables and it's all working OK now.

Thanks.
