Image quality

Post by BobS0327 »

Can anyone suggest how to improve the picture quality? I've attached a image which has "swirls" on the sides of the attached garage. These swirls appear in ZM but they do not appear when I input the camera directly into a TV. The picture is great on TV.

The camera horizontal resolution of the camera is 650 TV lines and the scanning system is 2:1 interface

Have you checked the image quality settings in the options menu?

After more than 15 years, no longer using ZM as surveillance system.
Now in the dark side, using a commercial system...

I checked the image quality settings under options and they are set as follows:

JPEG_FILE_QUALITY is set to 70
JPEG_STREAM_QUALITY is set to 70

The problem appears to have been resolved by changing the device format from NTSC to NTSC M and the capture palette from YUV430 to RGB565. And changing the capture width from 320 to 640 and changing the capture height from 240 480
