State of zoneminder doesn't change to running

Hi, I have installed ubuntu 10.04 and zoneminder 1.24.3.
Problem is that zoneminder start stopped and when i want change state to running, it doesn't change and continue stopped.

i'm sorry, i don't speak good english

Hola, tengo instalado en mi maquina ubuntu 10.04 y la version de Zoneminder 1.24.3
El problema es que ZoneMinder inicia "apagado", y cuando le quiero cambiar el estado, no cambia y se queda en apagado.

Si me pueden ayudar voy a estar agradecido.

Mi maquina es un i3, 8GB de RAM, 512GB HD.

Post the output of /var/log/syslog when doing the state change.

Copia y pega lo que salga en el fichero /var/log/syslog, ayudara a entender lo que te pasa.

Hi, i could't solve my problem... so I started again with other Ubuntu, ubuntu 12.04 server... Now, my problem is that i can't see streaming of cameras, when i click on monitor only i can see a screen blue. I saw that the process 'zma' is not started.

PD: I use cameras IP, and i don't use video card.

Hola, no pude resolver el problema.... asi que empece de nuevo con otro ubuntu, ubuntu 12.04 server. Ahora mi problema es que no puedo ver lo que estan filmando las camaras cuando hago click en "monitor", solo veo una pantalla azul con el reloj del tiempo de la camara en la esquina superior izquierda. Lo que vi que no inicia el proceso zma.

Bueno, disculpen las molestias, espero puedan darme una mano
