zm shows same stream from different channels on pv183

I have a new bluecherry pv183 16 port card. I installed zm from apt-get under ubuntu 12.04. The install went great and I have 8 cams working fine from /dev/video0-7 on channel 0. Now I try to add a 9th cam to /dev/video0 channel 1. Right away the stream on /dev/video0 channel 0 starts flickering and blanking. Same for /dev/video0 channel 1 but also /dev/video0 channel 1 is the showing the same stream from /dev/video0 channel 0. Any ideas on what is wrong?
