It appears that Zoneminder has been removed from Wheezy. The packages, debian, org / wheezy / zoneminder page is empty. (I would post a real link to the page, but this forum thinks my message looks too "spamy".)
Google's cached version of that page from 07-22-2012 shows that it existed at that time.
What gives?
Zoneminder removed from Debian Wheezy repos?
Re: Zoneminder removed from Debian Wheezy repos?
After some more digging I answered my own question...
It appears Zoneminder 1.25 was auto-removed due to its dependency on mootools: lists,debian,org/debian-release/2012/08/msg00094.html
mootools was removed due to its dependency on node-uglify: bugs,debian,org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=682265
(Again, sorry for the mangled spam-filter-safe URLs.)

Re: Zoneminder removed from Debian Wheezy repos?
Damn shame. The guy doing the debian maint seems to have moved on elsewhere - I dropped him a line last year after 1.25 and he responded but said was busy.
Guess unless somebody takes it on we'll be back to compiling the silly thing in future
