I have 4 cameras, I have noticed that setting the "Pre Event Image Count" to just under the "Image Buffer Size" for example: (I have tried 30, 15 and 5 fps on the cameras, same result)
Image Buffer Size: 50
Pre Event Image Count: 45
causes the streamed images to not work. It will show the first frame and then a black screen that says "Time to next event = x seconds". If I lower the Pre Event Image Count to 1 and wait for new events, the stream functions as documented. Has anyone else encountered this problem? I am on zoneminder 1.25.0, ubuntu server 12.04

According to the Zoneminder Wiki documentation, the Pre Event Image Buffer should not exceed half of the the Image (ring) Buffer.
If you need a larger Pre Event Image Buffer then first increase the Image Buffer.
