Foscam control problem with incorrect port number being used

Hello, I have numerous Foscam FI8918w cameras, and every thing work except having a real headache with getting the controls to work correclty. I have created the control file, etc. and am able to get to the camera no problem. I just can't control it. I think I found the problem, but don't know where to remedy it. I use port 4001 (instead of 80) to access the camera. In the source setting, i specify port 4001. I finally see in the zmcontrol.log file showing port 80 and not 4001. Can someone help me figure this out?

I too am having problems with the controls, but it sounds like you are doing better than I am.

On the control tab for your camera, in the "control device" input box, do you have "172.19.1.12:4001"?

It should work with the above looking at the script, as it just passes whatever you put in there. Report back and we'll go from there.

Well, I didn't, but sure thought I tried it (when I started to add the :4001, it showed in the list of previous attempts, so I know I tried it before, but this time it is WORKING!!!

Thank you. They should add a field for the port number for the control address.

Can you share where you got your control script? I'm having a problem with mine and figured I'd compare notes.
