Hi Peter
I initially had the same problem on another camers (Axis). It is unlikely that your settings will work. I suggest that you connect to the camera using that IP address from (say) a MS Windows machine. Then try to access the root directory of the camera and follow the directories until you find where the images are being stored. Also you need the correct port. You may end up with something like:

Name: 10.27.90.10
Port: 80
Path: /IP200-sgi/img/jpg=320x240

Note! It will NOT be the example I have given (but it will be something like it)
When you have it working, post the correct settings here for others.
Or someone else may come along with all the correct stuff.

Kind regards ... Algenon

Hello Peter,

Did you get anywhere with your camera? It's a badged version of the DLink DCS-1000 that i've been trying to get to work. I read the advice posted by ALGENON but I can't figure out how to access the root directory on the camera. the DLink website is not much use either. You can download the IPView application from there, however, and that allows you to access the camera from a Windoze box!

Hello Dave

Yes it is working, but I'm not finish with it. I have some troubles with username and password, because when I write username:password@host I get the following error in zmpkg.log: Bogus argument 'username:password@hostname' found at /usr/local/bin/zmdc.pl line 118.

If I dont creates users in the camera everything is working correctly and the path is /image.jpg.

Kind regards
Peter

You dont miss anything and you cant Telnet, FTP or SSH to the camera.

What I did was some kind of intuition, because I could not find anyway to find the image. So I had to try and I got the image on the first try. I guess I was lucky

Hello Peter,

I've nearly got this thing working. The only thing that doesn't happen now is that the image is not displayed (streamed) in the Watch window. Stills are displayed OK and all the alarm processing is OK. I can even examine the events and see the video. I just can't see the live video.

For your information the setup is presently ...

In the camera ... no users defined except the admin user and this has no password
In Zoneminder ...

Name: 192.168.40.8
Port: 80
Path: /image.jpg
Remote image colours: 24 bit colour
Capture Width : 320 px
Capture Height: 240 px

I get quite a few error messages on system start-up but then things go quiet and so I guess things are working then. I don't have much time to track down the problem at the moment, but if I find anything I'll post it here.

Regards,

Dave

Hi Dave,

What browser are you using and if it's IE do you have Cambozola on there?

Hello Phil,

Yes, I've got Cambozola (the 'old' version from the ZoneMinder download area) running and I was using IE. I've also tried other browsers both Windoze and Linux - all give the same result. I can find no error messages and all my shared space and other configurables look OK. Unfortunately I have very little spare time at the moment and so it'll take me a while to figure this out. Standard cameras hooked up via the video card all display OK.

Regards,

Dave
