ZC0303 Z-Star Microelectronics Webcam not working

Hi All,
I'm trying to get this A4Tech PK-7MAR webcam working with ZM. But unfortunately it gives me a blank screen when I open the monitor. Truncated lsusb output is like this.

I have set PAL as video format and YUYV as capture format and tried several other combinations. However this works just fine with

mplayer tv:// -tv device=/dev/video1:driver=v4l2

. But I also get this

Error, failed to enumerate standard 0: Success

In addition to that, my laptop's built-in webcam works fine with ZM. I am appending the log file content also with this. Note that the webcam in question is in /dev/video1. Please help.
