Ubuntu 12.04 From Repository -- Installed or Not?

I did the apt-get routine for ZM, and it appeared to set up all the stuff shown in the source build Wiki.

Is there a way to tell whether I'm ready to go with ZM? What I've seen so far in the documentation seems pretty opaque and assumes a source build. Presumably ZM runs from command line.
