How to install?

Post by iitywygms »

This may be a dumb question but, where is the ./configure? I downloaded the latest tar.gz extracted it but cant find it?
Is this something new that I am just ignorant of?
Thanks.

Just run the bootstrap.sh and it'll make the stuff you'll need.

Ideally, yes. I think this was the first new release in a while and I'm sure lessons have been learnt.

They might take the view that some kind of package management tool will look after those that need more help. The rest of us will look for a script and then vi it to see what it does.

This installation uses Zoneminder from the Ubuntu sources. Zoneminder in Ubuntu since the 11.10 version is compiled with the mmap option. I am running an Optiplex 755 with a dual core processor, 2 GIG RAM and 160 GIG hard drive...

Can you install the packages that provide those tools? Autoconf and automake for a start.

From another thread.
I tried it but had issues so I stayed at 25. I suppose it had to do with setting the database path in zm.conf
Torsten73 wrote:Iconnor has released bis ppa for ubuntu 12.04. It works fine when the database path in zm.conf is correct.

It should be used on an standard preinstalled 1.25 setup.
