Zoneminder and external dvr recorder
Hello. I've got a question. I have 2 external CCTV DVR recorder KPD679B 16CH H.264 DVR and I want to link them to my linux computer. Both of the recorders have network interfaces, I can access them by the software provided by recorder manufactorer. This software works only for Windows, but I want to use Ubuntu linux and Zoneminder instead. Is it possible ? I tried to search in documentation, but I found no information about it. Does Zoneminder support control of external DVR recorders ?

Re: Zoneminder and external dvr recorder
You might try zmodopipe.
Try: http://www.zoneminder.com/forums/viewto ... =zmodopipe
Looks like some ZoneMinder users have had success with it.
It is a simple compile.
When you start it you give it the IP of your DVR and arguments that should let it access the DVR video stream(s).
Those streams end up as a FIFO pipe on your system that you can configure as a camera.
