zonneminder 1.26.4 low fps on captured events

I'm running an ubuntu 12.04.3 server with zoneminder 1.26.4 from iconnor ppa.
Using modect the events saved slow down fps during the alarmed images.
Anyone knows a solution.
I use different cameras (ip and analogic from different brands), the situation occurred with all.

I am getting similar results here with the same version of zoneminder from the same source.
I am also getting intermittent smears on the images and this ffmpeg version is;

I tried with other servers (debian, centos ubuntu 32 and 64 bit) AMD other sources ( deb rpm and compiling from source build packages from git) nothing changed. Always the same behaviour. With 1.25 no problems whatsoever but more cpu load and no deinterlacing. My system is AMD based with quad core CPU and 4 GB of ram. I will try with Intel CPU. I think it is a big issue since low fps means less images that you can use to identify someone or something.

update.. with a fresh ubuntu 12.04.3 server with the latest zoneminder from iconnor and 2 disk with fakeraid the problem is gone. still problems with smearing from ffmpeg source and rtsp source unusable for error in decoding frame.
