Well i finally got my NAS linked and working, i can navigate to the folder and see the folders it is making within Zoneminder
HOWEVER, when i try and view the folders/files from a windows PC it seems like they dont exist, I assume its the permissions as ZoneMinder is writing the data but no idea on how to change this?
Thanks
Ian
Cant see files written by ZM on NAS
Re: Cant see files written by ZM on NAS
OK now you've got the reverse problem. I assume you're using SMB/CIFS from the Windows PC (as it won't know about NFS), which is now trying to translate an underlying linux file system into something usable by Windows.helpme1986 wrote:Well i finally got my NAS linked and working, i can navigate to the folder and see the folders it is making within Zoneminder

Some days you despair at the lack of cross platform standards
What do the permissions on the NAS drive directories and files look like (from a linux PC), and how much *can* you see from Windows. Anything at all? Just the directories? See filenames but not access files?
