advice: zoneminder centos or ubuntu?

i need to make a surveillance server.
I have, for this moment, one ip cam d-link DCS-942L.
In future i want to implement others webcams.

i think to use detection mode (mocord).

Which is better? centos or ubuntu?

Might as well ask Judaism or Buddhism.

I chose SciEntific Linux (pretty much the same thing as Centos). I use it at work so I'm most familiar with it. There's pros and cons for both choices. You might list what your experiences with Linux are so folks could get some context to your question.
