The add new monitor is grayed out

And I can't delete the one configured.

any idea what is going on? This is a very odd problem, and google is of no help at all.

What started this all, is wanting to add a second USB cam. I did so, but no matter how I configure it, the same camera is seen on video1 and video0. But being unable to add or delete monitors is making me crazy.

I have solved all the other issues, including the problems with the socket not being found.
