Problems with BTTV on ubuntu 14.04

the camera has a picture but it's features
pic. in black and white..

zoneminder source
/dev/video0 work
Device Channel 3 work
Device Format NTSC
Capture Palette auto
Target Colorspace 24 bit

640 480 pix

I think you are saying that your colour camera, with a composite video output is producing a black and white picture at the computer?

Is it an NTSC (American) camera?

Maybe you need to switch to Format: PAL-Something (I, B/G?) and try that.
