I have a ZoneMinder installation running on some older hardware running 14 network cameras right now in a limited functionality to control CPU Load (reduced resolution recording, b/w video, no motion detection). I am looking to update the PC hardware to allow me to use the full functionality of the software such as MoDect and higher resolution recording. Leaving room to add more cameras would be good also.
The server will be on the same LAN as all of the network cameras.
I'm looking at an entry level IBM server as a possible option. It is a ThinkServer TS140. The base CPU is an Intel Core i3-4130 Processor (3MB Cache, 3.40GHz)
Here's a link to the specs:

I would probably order it as shown on the page, with the exception of at least going up to the Intel Core i3-4350 Processor (4MB Cache, 3.6GHz) unless the Intel Xeon E3-1226 v3 Processor (8MB Cache, 3.30GHz) would make a huge difference.
Can a Lenovo ThinkServer TS140 run a 14+ camera system?

Bump.
Also, other than this system, could an intel Atom processor run a 16 camera system without trouble?

You've probably purchased something by now, but if not, hopefully this helps.
I run 7 cameras with 24/7 recording and motion detection on the following old server hardware: RACKABLE 2U SERVER WITH INTEL S5000PSL QUAD CORE XEON L5420 2 x 2.5GHZ 16GB MEM. Server load is generally between 2.75-3.5, rarely goes much higher except when purging old image data and then it sometimes gets up to ~6. Analog/color/640x480/~7fps (card limited). Consider your image resolution/fps/etc. and hopefully you can use this hardware as a baseline reference to determine what your requirements will be.
