PTZ Linksys DCS5020L

ZoneMinder was successfully installed on a PC running Ubuntu 14.04. A Linksys DCS5020L camera was successfully installed for standard viewing. This camera has PTZ capabilities, and the control script from the following link was identified:

The control script was copied using gedit into a new file DCS5020L.pm and saved at the following address:

usr/share/perl5/ZoneMinder/Control

The control script was recorded in the Control Panel per instructions provided at the following link: http://www.zoneminder.com/wiki/index.ph ... _DCS-5020L

The camera video is operational; however, efforts to use PTZ produce error reports similar to the following:

Control response was status = undefined
message = /usr/bin/zmcontrol.pl
-- panstep = 14
-- command = move Rel Right
-- id = 1 = >

I would appreicate your help resolving the problem. I am a Newbie to Linux and ZoneMinder; however, there seems to be a control conflict between the control scripts at zmcontrol.pl and the new DCS502L.pm

The ptz script probably needs to be updated to be compatible with zoneminer 1.28.1.
The link describes the steps needed to accomplish that.
