{SOLVED} HOOTOO PTZ HD and HOSAFE 1MB1W HD IP Cam and ZM

Hi all,
To start out. I have never done anything like this before and have a lot of problems. Over the weekend I set ZM up on my laptop from:

I have a friend that has no problems at all, same HOSAFE 1MB1W HD IP Camera and I've set mine up like he did.

"source type ffmpeg using source path rtsp://user:password@hostname:port and remote method RTP/RTSP".

Not, so with me. The cam I'm using is a HOSAFE 1MB1W HD IP Camera. I don't see the cam in the supported cams. With all that is happening, it has just about brought my laptop to almoast a complete stand still. I get errors like:

I do have a password from HOSAFE for the cam and I see no place to insert it. Might that be the problem with this "the Connection reset by peer"? All I get is a blue window viewing the cam and I see that there's a lot of other people with the same problem. In short. I'm asking how do I get ZM running right?

Hi,

Maybe you missed the password in the source path, try with:

rtsp://admin:YOURPASSWORD@192.168.1.11:9101

I just got a HOOTOO PTZ. Same there too and I added the password.

The port is 254, but the same crap. If I could only have said what I really wanted too. 254 is what it's shows with Windows. I guess it can be done and once I figure it out, it will be head banging time.

I used this tool to figure out the exact URL of my cameras:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/onvifdm/
It made it a lot easier.

After a week of trying to figure it out. The software for the cam didn't show that IP. Now I might find the IP for my other cam.

This worked for me in Zoneminder v1.30 with a Hosafe 1MD1W:

On the "Source" tab for the camera:
Remote Protocol: RTSP
Remote Method: RTP/Unicast
Remote Host Name 10.x.x.x (substitute your IP address as a dotted quad)
Remote Host Port 554
Remote Host Path user=admin
Target Colorspace: 24 bit color
Capture Width 1280
Capture Height 720
