Concealing Outdoor Camera

Post by sgharp »

Hi Guys,

I have a customer that wants to conceal her outdoor camera (Axis P3364-LVE) and is planning to place it in a box with a tinted plexiglass window. Can anyone give me any feedback on how much tint the plexiglass can have and still allow the camera to work? The plexiglass she's currently looking at only allows 14% of light to get through and I'm thinking this is to dark.

Ideas? Suggestions?

Thanks.

Thanks. Do you have any experience with a camera behind 49% light? Are you sure this will work?

Sorry... I really have no idea. My PTZs both came with a cam incloser. Hard to see where the cam is during the day, but a dead give away at night due to the IR leds.
