I have tried a couple of settings to restrict the monitors users can see, in the desktop version, and have not had success.
In ZM options for user I have
Enabled yes
Stream view
Events view
Control None
Monitors View
Groups None
System None
Bandwidth Low
Monitor (the 4 chosen monitors to allow)
zmNinja does log in with the user/password but the Montage view displays the 10 monitor names with question marks and no video stream.

Restrict monitors to specific users
Re: Restrict monitors to specific users
bbunge, that is correct - the current implementation of the API does not honor user roles. As long as you are logged in, you have full access to all monitors. This is a good feature to have and I'll investigate what it takes to modify the APIs. Once the APIs are modified, zmNinja will automatically behave the way you want.
I no longer work on zmNinja, zmeventnotification, pyzm or mlapi. I may respond on occasion based on my available time/interest.
