Failed to set up Zoneminder

Hey, i have a Problem by setting up zoneminder.
Now ive installed zm 5 times (every time an other source or by package) and every time ive got the same problem with the "Waiting for capture daemon" error.
Sometimes of the 5 installations it works until ive restarted my system.
On the Internet i could not find anything to fix this problem.

What version of Linux are you using?

It is best to set up from a command line. Please check the WIKI for instructions for your Linux distro.

I used Debian Jessie and Ubuntu 14.04
and for the installation i used both times the instructions on the wiki but it still wont work...

looks like you got zm set up correctly but it is your camera configuration that is causing problems. The resolution setting in Zoneminder needs to match the camera for height and width of image. Otherwise it will not work.

The resolution settings seems not to be the problem. I my cam-device settings is written that the cam use 640x480 and in zm i inserted the same.

I dont understand why zm works after i installed it for the first time on any distribution until i restart the system zm does not work anyway and just show me this annoying "Waiting for capture daemon" warning...

It is possible that Zoneminder is starting before MySQL. That is why we add the "sleep 15" to /etc/init.d/zoneminder in Ubuntu 14.04

Debian 8 uses systemd and should not have problems with Zoneminder starting before MySQL. See:

Now i have reinstalled again zm with adding the "sleep 15" and i got the same problem agin.
