hardware issue with 4 port card from EBAY 60fps
im using this ebay card here
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... &rd=1#tech
its a 4 port 60 frames per second
i thought it was similar to bbtv type ebay cards the ones with 30fps but i cannot seem to get fedora core 3 to detect this card ?
i've tried a modprobe but still no luck ?
is there some way to get this type of card working ?
please help ?

Essentially you do not seem to have any video devices available. If your card is not supported by Video4Linux then it's a bit of a non-starter. Even if it is supported you may need to manually create your video devices and/or add options to /etc/modules.conf or /etc/modprobe.conf to get it to function correctly.

Hi Jay,
I didn't find much at all for drivers for that card. I found one guy that had tried a few years back on one of the earlier chips and only managed to get PAL working without many options
As of right now I am good at modifing and tweaking things but developing a new driver is beyond me at this date.
Regards,
Cordel

I wish I could but I have a ways to go before being able to develop drivers. Phil might but you best bet would be to get on the V4l mailing list and making the offer to someone there. Or better yet if you look in the kernel source I think it under /drivers/media/video I think there is some contact info and that would be your best bet.

Thanks for the offer. Currently I don't have a system to stick another card in though. My devt box (actually my only box!) is a bit full at the moment.
If it's not recognised as a bttv card then I'd be a bit stuck as well. I've written drivers before but one as big as bttv would be a bit of a major enterprise. If you don't know what else to do with it then by all means mail it to me and I'll see if I can fit it in somewhere but possibly not in the short term.
Cheers
