Has anyone yet discovered a way to store the events as videos and then delete the old jpeg images for the events? It is a pain having all these photos stored in these deep storage file systems. If someone has discovered an automatic way of doing this, that would be great to hear. I know all about event filters, but don't know how to do this efficiently.

I agree, that would be cool. Directories full of JPEGs are not a video format.

Today, there might some round about way via script or export filter, but the feature of which you ask is planned for the next major release after 1.29.
That will also answer the second most-asked question we get, which is, "Does ZoneMinder record audio"? Once we start recording to an mp4 container, adding audio should be relatively easy to do.
