Hello,
I am using a VA033K+ webcam with zoneminder 1.28.1 on Ubuntu 14.04.3. The controls for PTZ should be the same as for the foscam cameras.
When I configure the Control section of the monitor though, I get some strange Errors from zmcontrol.pl:
2016-01-07 11:48:37.082620 zmcontrol 19729 ERR Error check failed: '500 No Host option provided' for URL http:///decoder_control.cgi?command=6&user=admin&pwd=192.168.1.106 zmcontrol.pl
I guess, this url is not right (why is the IP at the end?). Could somebody please help me to set this up properly?
Here is my current control tab config:
Edit: Also tried to replace the : with a & but still same output.

Re: PTZ problems with foscam clone
If you really have not set a password for the admin login (not a good idea) then leave the Control Device field empty.
If you really did set a password for the admin login (and just aren't showing us), then just put the password in the Control Device field and nothing else.
Since you've added a port number of 81 to the Control Address field, make sure you have made that same change in the camera itself.

Re: PTZ problems with foscam clone
Thanks. I did as you suggested and it worked but only after a complete pc restart. PTZ settings don't seem to apply right away...
And I use this only in a setup that is in no way connected to the internet so I thought it would be ok to run without a password.
