Hi !
Im testing the ZM 1.29 in a Centos 7.2 and I can record from the camera.
The question is: if I need create a filter to archive all the events, because the events still unarchived.
When I run Purgewhenfull (for tests, changing only the occuped disk %), it erase all folders, events, etc...
This is the default behavior of ZM ?
Thank you!
Do I need filter to archive the events ?
Re: Do I need filter to archive the events ?
No. You need to set Archive Status equal to Unarchived only.
But, if you archive all your events your disk will fill up and your server will crash or just stop. Archive only events you want to keep, convert them to video or export them to another device.

Re: Do I need filter to archive the events ?
Let me try understand it:
if I have the server recording 24x7 unattended I can't check what archive or not, I believe that all events must be keep for N days, because I may need any record from the events. Then I need create a filter to auto archive all events daily ? Or need a filter to create the video for the events and delete the events after ?
I think that ZM must works like a dvr, recording all the time and deleting only the old videos automatically, Im right ?

Re: Do I need filter to archive the events ?
No, record or mocord will create a new event every 10 minutes. These are stored in order on your storage (hard drive).
Modect will only create events when motion is detected and those events are stored in order on the hard drive.
You can review events and decide if to archive or convert to video. Usual a manual process. Yes, you can set a filter to archive events automatically but it is beyond the scope of what I want to type. I suggest you read the documentation

then ask specific questions...
