Camera Artefact cause false positive Alarms

Post by TilmanJ »

Hi,
one of my Cams is a Foscam FI9805E which is connected via Powerline (fast, PoE) Adapters to the ZoneMinder Machine (VM inside ESXi 6.0).
Sometimes I get a crippled picture (Artefact) as shown in the attachment which causes false positive alarm events.
How can I get rid of these buggy partial stream and how do I have to configure the Zones to avoid any false positives.

This does not apply to to this Cam only, even if an IR Led Cam is used and the Cam switches from Day to Night mode and vice versa, causes the same behavior.

The load of the ZM machine is not that high below 1% CPU and below 10% disk.

Thanks for all your time
BR

Use the remote method. See the WIKI for settings. I have a bunch of these working well on several systems.

I had this problem with UDP streams caused by packet loss. Are you sure about your powerline adapaters?
