I've noticed something weird about the system, when an alarm triggers and the system starts to build a recording the first section of the recording is good and smooth for approximately 3-4 seconds the frame rate appears to be a good 10 fps. After about 4 seconds, there's a short freeze, then the video picks up again but the remainder of the video is slower than 10 fps, maybe 3 or 5 fps.
I have tried changing the Analysis FPS, Maximum FPS, and Alarm Maximum FPS to various settings (all 10.0, only Max FPS set to 10 while others blank). At this point I'm running with this setting but it still exhibits the problem:
Analysis FPS: <blank>
Maximum FPS: 10.0
Alarm Maximum FPS: 15.0
It seems very consistent and I'm not sure how to debug this since it doesn't really generate an error. Any suggestions of places to look?
My camera is an old-school analog setup using video input on a pcHDTV PCI card with V4L.
Recordings seems to freeze, then become jerky

These settings are for "local" cameras only. USB or analog via a capture card. All should be blank for IP cameras.
