I have a few cameras already, and my preference in past has been IR, Wifi and steerable.Specifically I have these:
A nice well branded one, albeit out of production according to manufacturer:

And a couple of generics from China that look like this:

They each come with their own Windows apps, or phone apps and/ore offer a web interface.
I am sick to death of the supplied apps though, and want something FOSS to interact with them, and would even contribute code if I find time to support ones I have if I can work out how and reverse engineer the danged comms by sniffing the wifi comms between it and existing apps.
But as I am time poor I'm almost as happy to buy nee cameras that work. My question to the community is therefore: Are you using a camera anything like these with Zoneminder? If so, which one?
Your experience can be a huge time saver for me.
Now I have checked the HCL:
https://wiki.zoneminder.com/Hardware_Compatibility_List
but there are frankly a ton of links to follow under Network cameras and what I have clicked through didn't land me anywhere near IR, steerable, Wifi cameras ... alas Network cameras includes those that are fixed pointing direction and have no night vision ... to wit my question to the community, re: experiences with pointable (steerable) night visions Wifi cameras.
Steerable infrared Wifi camera? Anyone using one with ZoneMinder?
