New ver .16 running very slow, memory hog

Hi all, I have ZM ver .16 running with all elements seeming to work with two Axis cameras and a webcam.
However the 3 zma and 3 zmc deamons between them chew up more than 90 percent of system memory, leaving less than 1 percent free.
There are no unusual error messages in the logs.
I am using httpd ver 2.0.40-21.9 (released a few days ago) and have oodles of ram on a P111 1gig.
I have read the various threads about memory leaks etc but they seem not to apply here.

Any ideas?

Hi Algenon,

Can you give me some idea of what settings you are using in terms of what the monitor functions are and any relevant options or setup etc.
