I have a couple of dlink IP cameras for monitoring inside the house and a couple of older dlink models for outside the house. So a total of 4-5 cameras.
I am looking for some simple hardware for running zoneminder. The server hardware will live in the entertainment center, so looking for something with a small form factor and preferrably fanless.
Considering using an Intel NUC for this

Any other ideas/suggestions?
Would a Raspi 2 work?

Re: Beginner Server hardware and configuration
I have a similar question. Just ordered an ip camera and Pi 3b to start a small setup for home and I was wondering what the best distro for zoneminder would be on the pi.
