Help diagnose syslog entires

1.29 on Ubuntu 16.04

Have begun seeing these lately:

Sep 12 04:36:00 somedomain.com zmdc[2823]: ERR ['zmc -m 3' exited abnormally, exit status 255]

I will see a bunch of these over about 45 minutes or so, then they disappear for days.....

Any help would be appreciated.
