Using HD IP Cameras

Post by LisaNels »

Setup: Ubuntu 16.04 server, all updates, using the zoneminder PPA. Running 1.30.0. NOTE: this computer is not the fastest with 2 cores, 4G ram...

I've been running 5 cheap WiFi cameras, and they have been ok. Capturing poor images of motion that is detected by zoneminder. Today I received a GW 2250IP Camera. It's HD, and I get images using monitor within zoneminder. But I get a lot of errors in the logs. See below:

The forums wouldn't let me attach the logs in html format...

(always) try the ffmpeg source type first.
Visit my blog for ZoneMinder related projects using the Raspberry Pi, Orange Pi, Odroid, and the ESP8266
All of these can be found at https://zoneminder.blogspot.com/
