image access & streaming not working when remote

I am having issues getting access to my images/streaming when not on my network. I use the zmninja app on both my iphone and droid tablet. This remote access used to work a few months ago. I have changed several things since then and am not sure what broke this functionality.
- moved from Ubuntu 14 to ubuntu 16
- updated phone OS
- probably updated zm from 1.29 to 1.30
- updated zmninja a couple times

As part of troubleshooting I have adjusted DNS entries to ensure that the public DNS name is pointed to one of my public IP addresses. I have adjusted my certificate in apache to ensure that the common name in the certificate matches this DNS hostname.

I do not see any errors in the apache error.log when attempting to view images/streams remotely.

All of this functionality works fine if I am on my network but when remote I am not able to pull up images or streams. All other access seems fine.

I can provide log files and more information if anyone is interested in chiming in on this one.

The very helpful developer of zmninja found the issue that was causing this. Turns out the server setting that I had applied for each camera was causing this to not work. Dont fully understand how or why yet but changing this back to none allowed all images/streams to work properly. I do have 2 servers but only for the purpose of migrating from 1 machine to another so I dont really need to use this setting. If I did I am not sure if I could get visibility of all cameras streams and images remotely.

Thanks to the Zmninja guy. If you have not checked out that app it is quite nice. I bought both the iphone and droid version and found them very useful and well thought out.
