Hi, please I need help with problem in log.
ZM still fills log with text "Cannot write to content dirs('/data/zm_record/events','/data/zm_record/images'). Check that these exist and are owned by the web account user index.php" every second.
I dont understand why, because that directory have right apache:apache privs and chmod 770. Recording itself works great and ZM records images to that directory without problem. I was testing login to bash as user apache and go to this dirr and make some write operations without problem.
Where could it be wrong?
ZM still says cannot write to events dir, but rec works to that dir.

mine are owned by www-data:www-data not apache (Ubuntu 16.04 and Apache 2.4.18) and the permissions are 755
I left all this exactly as ZM set it up by default, except that I moved the entire data store per directions here https://wiki.zoneminder.com/Using_a_ded ... Hard_Drive

The apache account is the correct account for redhat distros while www-data is the account name used by Debian based distros.alabamatoy wrote:mine are owned by www-data:www-data not apache (Ubuntu 16.04 and Apache 2.4.18) and the permissions are 755

If you read the help text associated with setting the events and images folder (click the "?"), it told you to go to the wiki for details on how to set up a dedicated drive or partition. alabamatoy provided the link for you to follow. You should do this now.masoxik wrote:ZM still fills log with text "Cannot write to content dirs('/data/zm_record/events','/data/zm_record/images'). The help text even cautioned you that most users should not change the value you, in fact, changed, so there should be no surprise things are not working correctly.
