event playback errors on high rez only

I have six reolink 410 cameras and have zm configured to constantly record the lower rez stream at 7fps & to trigger the higher rez stream at 10fps on motion detect. This works, and I can play the lower rez stream without any problem but when I try to view any of the higher rez streams I get maybe 2-3 frames into it and it loops back to the beginning- like a broken record.

the server is an 8 core athlon with 16gig and it writes everything into a raid array. im looking at htop right now & showing under 4gb ram used and my processors are all averaging about 15% with occasional spikes into 30% range.

interestingly, i dont see anything in the log window. like, nothing at all- no events... no warnings, no info... totally blank. if I tail syslog I do see unexpected channel selector messages & the occasional partial frame. this was working without any trouble until last night, when I tried to do an apt upgrade and noticed the ppa for zoneminder was broken.

I fixed this by doubling my image buffer size per camera. Streams are 1920x1080 32bpp 10fps, using just over 6gb ram now for all six cameras and the associated 6 low rez full time recorders... Buffer upped to 100 on each of the HD.
