Hi, I have 11 1080p cameras recording outside around our building. The cameras are adjust to take 10 fps. I'm on 1.30
All cameras are set to modect with default values.
Is there a way to make sure it won't stop recording until, let's say, 20 sec of inactivity?
Thank you
Edit (2017/01/18)
It is getting better. The preset "Best, high sensitivity", in the zones settings, really doesn't work at all for my cameras outside. It never triggers at all.
On the "Default" preset I only get the vehicles and don't get the entire footage when there is still movement. And it does not record any human walking.
The best result I have so far is to choose "Fast, high sensitivity" and change "Min/Max Alarmed Area" from 5 to 1.
The difference I can see is that it picks up all movement but will, sometimes, record on multiple files. But it seems I, now, get all the footage when there are movements.
Modect stops recording even if there is still movement.

Re: Modect stops recording even if there is still movement.
Maybe my problem is more the size of what is filmed.
When it detects cars, the video shows everything. When it is people there is a lot of activity not recorded.
Ex. Someone arrived in a car. The car stops and we see the door beginning to open and the recording stops there. The next file shows the back of the person walking out of frame. I have no footage of him or her stepping out of the car.

I am confused
I found settings in the zone page - Preset: "Best, high sensitivity"
When I choose that, it wont trigger at all. Not even the cars.
Can someone help me please? I thought that High sensitivity meant more triggers.

The "Post Event Image Count" under buffers controls this behaviour.
If you want an extra 20 seconds of non activity at 10 fps then set it to 200 (10 x 20).
As for it not detecting humans, you need to adjust the the zone settings. See http://zoneminder.readthedocs.io/en/lat ... ezone.html

Presets were done a long time ago for some pretty low res cameras, recommend that you follow docs and above wiki to tune motion detection for you specific case.
