if it works with libvlc it will work with ffmpeg.

Except it doesn't - that's kind of the point.
This camera works with VLC etc. over RTSP - it never worked with Zoneminder using ffmpeg, but worked with LibVLC.

I'm still a bit unclear whether libvlc is just a bit bust with the later master snapshots or not.
