resize image before processing

No worries, again appreciate the input, I could get ffmpeg to work glitch free but it did seem awefully fernickity a change in the bitrate, or framerate up or down could make it mess up and there seemed to be no rhyme or reason, to that end im not particularly comfortable relying on it.. Ill have another bash at libvlc, but for now If I can figure out what I have broken I will persevere with remote. And i guess my next step will be to get onto 1.30 and start again
