You insmod options should go into /etc/modprobe.conf for Fedora. If it's missing then you might have removed it opp's. I'm pretty sure there should be one there as when I was testing with FC4 that's were I put my options for the kodicom card

The modprobe.conf file is present in the /etc directory. I was not able to locate a modules.conf file on my fc3 or fc4 setup.

The problem I'm having is a severely shakey picture that is constantly jittering up and down. I've verified that its not a hardware issue by using a hard drive that has fc3 installed and the video looks rock steady. When I unplug that drive and install the drive with fc4 on it the video image gets jittery and hard to watch.

I don't have a clue as to what I should be looking for. I'd hate to do a complete reinstall of fc4 but if I have to.......

modules.conf does not exist in Fedora. Most likely would have something to do with the kernel drivers or maybe you have missed a setting in zm that you had set in your FC3 setup.

sorry to be a pain but im confused.
On your old fc3 box you had a modprobe.conf that had the card=121 in it but your new fc4 box does not have this line. Can you add this line to the fc4 modprobe.conf or am i way off here?

The card=121 was for the 2nd board installed in the computer. I've tried using 121 and not using 121 with the same results. Oh well. I might try pulling out the 2nd card to see if that fixes the 1st card. At least its something easy to try.

Problem solved. After going through a complete update of the system using yum the problem still wasn't resolved.

I then decided to play with the settings in tvtime and after I set the horizontal resolution to the lowest setting the problem went away. Anytime I set the horizontal resolution higher the problem comes back.

I now have a different problem but I'll start another thread to talk about that one.
