at this point im thinking this has less to do with the camera and more to do with some oddity with how its setup, on ubuntu
i noticed another strange though, i should be able to start zoneminder from the website console right? i click on stopped, and try to start it, nothing happens
i checked the logs, nothing is logged anywhere except this:
10/24/06 21:26:12.633826 zmpkg[5047].INF [Command: start]
10/24/06 21:26:14.491113 zmpkg[5047].ERR [Unable to find valid 'su' syntax]
in zmpkg.log

Doing a search for unable+valid+su+syntax
http://www.zoneminder.com/forums/viewto ... lid+syntax
Sorry I can't simulate here as I only have CentOS, Fedora, Mandriva, and Suse and I have never seen this problem other than what's been posted to the forum.
Hopefully the above post can help you sort it out.

Corey

sweet! 1 step closer
i got it to actually say its RUNNING now!
also my monitor has a link to a page that shows a broken image link
it says the monitor is idle (~2fps)
it set its max fps to 2
im gonna try changing links (to image grabs) 1.1 and 1.0 again, and regexp stuff again

i set it up to use scripts as the cgi-bin
but the link website still tries to use cgi-bin
so i did ln -s scripts cgi-bin
but now its not running the nph-zms
its surving up the binary file as a big text file

i see at the top ELF
obviuosly not an image..
guess i gotta figure out how to make apache host its output rather than serve it
also whats the difference between zms and nph-zms?

Anyone can edit entries in the Wiki, so if you think something is incorrect you can change it, or perhaps just add a comment. It's probably easier than doing a whole new one.

the 206 yes, and i would think the 205w could as long as the image size didnt swamp the wifi
