I can find images that would be perfect but when scaled down from low quality web grabs they look poor. I need seperate image files for pause, play etc and the pause still forward and reverse. I tried creating some before but they looked (shi...) not very good either. Ideaaly all i want is the arrows etc if the backgrounds arnt transparent i can fix that.

No problem James, The buttons are fine as long as we can get some direction on them. I tell ya, I hardly go back to the standard ZM interface except to delete events or make camera adjustments now! The viewer is much easier and actually flows smoother! Great App!

A couple more obs.

It would be nice if the player control buttons were moved up just a little bit from the bottom of the screen. When you enlarge it they are so close to the task bar that if you have a pop up task bar (like me) you tend to let the pointer stray just enough to make the task bar pop up when trying to jump between buttons.

Event progress bar. It would be nice to have an even progress bar just below the image that progresses as the event is played. Long events sometime look stalled unless you are really watching the clock and it would be nice to see how much time is left in the event playing. Bar/ Clock/countdown or something would solve this.

If anyone has or can get some suitable images this would be a great help. And thankyou very much Dan, (i love praise lol) its getting there, its got the bulk of the key features i think, but certain areas still need improving (images for buttons lol)

lol this is getting silly
alpha update
added progress through video thingy to bottom of screen, works in normal payback and revers and motion only
added new name to top of playback screens hows current event being played back and still image number if applicable
moved buttons up to prevent autohide problem.

Will replace beta with next alpha once you can see button names again. Are they still funny or what dan

I have just installed the alpha on an xp machione and i see the button problem lol. i will fix it

regarding the speech the l and h engines are poo, for devepoipng io used the ms voices, ms sam i think is in xp by default. There are some much better voices that can be added but you have to pay for the good ones, sam does a pretty good job though

Update to beta

Fixed stdole bug as above

Added another custom view
chnaged how custom viwes are saved
added default veiw selection
added another custom view (ie custom 1 and 2)
added timed change of views for both custom views
added enduser settings
settings now called setup (admin)

added multievent export allowing all curently archived events for selected camera to be exported as 1 video
still have the ffmpeg issue with media player as laways if you know a player that doesnt do this or how to use 0.4.9 from the command line then we can fix it

Custom views apppear ok James.
Was unable ti check archived events. I had none so of course errors.
Sam sounds better.

Just another though for a view.

Say have a "swap" button for like in quad view. Hitting swap, would bring next 4 cameras up in quad view ( The larger windows) hitting swap would again rotate int he next 4 cameras etc. As long as they were defined cams etc. Could even maybe also have a timed swap to quad view. Like cycle but cycle in 4 cams in quad view replaced the current quad views in cycle until stopped. Just a thought... the larger picture views look better to the old eyes too. <g>

Beta Update
Fixed problem wit hauto swiutch of custom views occuring at the minulte selected not the time delected

features added
When clicking on views 2-16 repeatedly the next set of cams will open
ie click 4 and get cam 1-4 press again get 5-8, again get 9-12 etc etc
not enabled on the bigger views as i cant see the point

Added a checkbox in menu, which allows views to change as above as per the cycle timer in setup.

Added quality trackbar in menu to have greater flaxabilty than low med, high

removed (until edit db is written) archive only in playabck (used for joining events together)

Bingo James!

The cycling on re-clicking on a view works great!

Just what I was looking for too!

The cycle timer also works as advertised. All else loads and looks good!
