Personally i think this is a better idea. I love the live cd but my fav one you did was the 2006 non live cd with installer.
Is this someething you would like adopted and extended?

I have to comment about what i said in this post.gola10 wrote:I am not a expert but a few week ago was able to install zm 1.23.1 from RPM to Pclos. I downloaded the 2008 iso but sincerely i do not remmenber (is a matter of age) if i used the 2008 minicd or a older version of pclos. Is there a way to now?
It has been installed in 4 different computers and with different hardware and one of them with a sata drive. I can tell that they are very stable.
Recently i ugrade 2 of those installations to 1.23.2 from RPM. The only thing i notice on one of them is that when i try to see all events of unde DAY "today" i get the ones of yesterday. This computer is far away from here and i did the upgrade via Internet. Maybe i forgot something.
I am happy to know that there is going to be finally ZM under Pclos. Their Remaster feature is great.
Update: Just check and it is Pclos 2008.
First, after i applied some updates to Pclos, the MKLIVECD broke.
I migrate from Mandriva 2007 to Pclos all my sites (3) and has notice that is common that i can not connect to the ZM computer thru the browser or ssh and even ping is not responded. I thought it was the internet connection but when i went back to Mandriva on 2 places, the problem was solved.
Just hope there will be a MKLIVECD for Mandriva 2008 soon.
Is this project continuing? How can ZM be updated in this?rdmelin wrote:Here is a low key announcement, buried deep in this long running thread
I uploaded a new livecd solution Ive been working on, and some docs describing it. It's a departure from past zmlivecd solutions.Check it out when you get some time.

I tested it, and, to be honest, I'd happily move from MDV 2007.0 to this one. Asterisk seems very smooth, like it a lot. Congrats.
Any suggestion, on how to move from one system to the other, without losing the events?

This link describes installation of ZM 1.23.0 onto MDV 2008.0.

Do you think the same steps will work with 1.23.3 onto the currently available MDV 2008.1, using the rpm on the same link?

Helloo yourselfAnyone? Hellooo!
I'm not ignoring anyone, Ive been away, and swamped, etc.
Yes I am still working on the arch based system as I have time. I expect to have a real release soon. But it will require a new installation. Im sticking close to the filesystem structure of the parent distro "archlinux" which differs from Mandriva in that the web server root is in /home rather than /var. So migrating a host from one system to the other and preserving events would be a pain. I will take a look at whether a script to backup config data like monitors, zones, etc would be feasible. Is this project continuing? How can ZM be updated in this?
Hmm. OK, Im glad you spoke up. I was thinking of removing it in the interest of simplicity but if someone will use it I can keep it in. Though it will not be featured so prominently in the "Getting Acquainted" page.Asterisk seems very smooth, like it a lot.

ArchSentrix looks real cool, a great opportunity for one to learn the real linux, as very well described in the Archlinux wiki.rdmelin wrote:Helloo yourselfAnyone? Hellooo!

Meanwhile I installed astersik 1.2 on the MDV 2007 system I've previously installed from the CD (it's there in the repo) but what a pity they don't support asterisk 1.4 on it. So I'd be happy to have the latest from all...
