Hi to everybody!

I have a v1.22.2 ZM server perfectly running a cabled-network with three AXIS 221 "Night and Day" cameras. Everything works ultra-fine and smoothly. Recently I have bought a cheap old 2110 AXIS camera (the prev. model of 211) for a possible implementation. The camera works on the network with its IP and ZM recognizes it when I add a new monitor with the SAME PARAMETERS as the 221 ones! Very good indeed, BUT...

Now I have got two brand new 211 AXIS cameras to implement the net (in substitution of the 2110, for quality reasons). The new AXIS 211 cams have been IP setup and now they are working and visible via the AXIS browser, so I think they are correctly "mounted" on the network (IP can be reached amd firmware is updated to the latest version).

But - SURPRSE - ZM DOES NOT MOUNT THEM. When I've added a "new monitor" on ZM, I took the SAME PARAMETERS of the 221 ones, already "tested" on 2110. Even if I try to add one monitor at a time...

IP numbers of 211 cams remain RED and the 211 cams are not operative at all, at any funcion condition. Also I have tried to downgrade the resolutions from 640x480 to smallest ones but with no fortune.

What happens? What can I do? If this is a case of "shared memory", please let me understand how to fix it. Thanks for your help... I really need it !!! Sorry for my English if you find some mistakes !!

What do your logs say?

Can you access your camera with that stream directly?

(Use firefox, it supports mjpeg streaming. IE doesn't)

If yes, most common other thing is the shared memory. Search the wiki faq for SHMALL and follow those instructions. 640x480 in colour DOES require this change, although I'd have expected you to have needed that for the other cams at that resolution.

Axis 211's *definately* work with ZM. I've used several and installed a new one last week without hitch, so don't be returning them just yet.

Dear friends, problem has been resolved. And It was EASY. The 211 cams come with a AXIS 4.40 firmware release, that ZM (not the latest version) could not recognize. So I have downgraded the firmware to the 4.30 release. Now everything WORKS FINE.
However thanks to everybody for the suggestion, expecially the one regarding the SHARED MEMORY, a issue I need to unleash more.

Dear Flash, I intended that "my" version of ZM is not supporting 4.40... I did not upgrade to the latest version.

I have similar issues with Axis 221, IP camera, where zoneminder source stays red and there is no streaming video on the monitor. I am running the camera in non-authentication mode and I can access the camera stream directly (http://my-ip:80/axis-cgi/mjpg/video.cgi ... on=640x480). The camera came with firmware version 4.45.1, which did not work in the first place. So I have also tried downgrading to 4.30 but unsuccessful. I did increase my shared memory to 4GB when I set up ZM initially. Bellow are my monitor, shared memory settings. Any suggestions would be greately appreciated.
