I noticed on www.nerdvittles.com that the asterisk people are using bluetooth proximity detection to decide whether to forward phones.

I think it works by detecting the MAC address of the device.

Wouldn't it be neat if zoneminder could record bluetooth activity (like cellphones). Then supply a way to map MAC ID's to names... and alert on unknown MAC ID's ?

Just a thought...

Sounds like it should be it own project as this has no benifit to ZM and has no effect on recordings.
